Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins – NFL Betting Pick Week 11 2014

Went from a horrible pick to an easy one. What a roller coaster this year of betting has been. Live betting seems to be easier still, might have to set up a Twitter account or something to be able to share those with you guys. Not sure I will this season, but maybe the next one?

This week for the posted bet I will take a closer look at the Thursday Night game between two divisional rivals. The Miami Dolphins is hosting the Buffalo Bills in a fight for the second place in the AFC East. Both these teams have surprised us greatly with some elite defenses and solid offense performances. We are looking forward to this match and have a team in mind who we think will cover the spread in the Gardens.

Buffalo Bills

Buffalo have had a up and down season so far. After starting out with two big wins, they suffered two quick losses and things look like normal for this poor performing team. After a horrible start against the Lions in week 5 they even benched EJ Manuel in favor of Kyle Orton who have started since. He managed to turn around the game, but lost badly against the Patriots next week. Still they managed to squeek out two more wins and a tight loss last week, and that without their star running back CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson at half strength.

The reason they are looking so good is mostly thanks to their defense who have been outstanding. They seem to be able to stuff the run quite easily and have an amazing front seven that can get to the quarterback quite nicely. If this unit is able to plow Tannehill and keep him moving they will surely put the offense in a winning position.

Miami Dolphins

Although they have looked good so far this season with Tannehill stepping up and doing work behind an excellent defense, after their close loss against the Lions this might spell a turnaround. This game had them losing their left tackle Brendan Albert who have been excellent so far this season, Cortland Finnegan who will be covering the second receiver and the left guard Daryn Colledge might be out due to a back injury. Things are not looking good when this team needs to shake up the whole left side of the oline.

They are going to have to rely even more on the defense here or have Tannehill really do an excellent job to put them up and ahead of the Bills. A loss here would be terrible for their chances of a playoff spot, so they know what is at stake and that this is a do-or-die match for the 2014 season.

Our Predictions

We are basing our predictions on the fact that both the Bills and Dolphins have been doing great so far this season. High above expectations. But given that the Dolphins have suffered so many critical injuries in the last game we view their hopes of winning here is diminishing. We might still have them as favorites, but not by much. The front seven of the Bills is gonna reign terror on the newly mixed up offensive line of the Dolphins and Kyle Orton can easily match up some points with how he has been playing.
