Dolphins Jets Game Preview

The NFL has put together yet another blockbuster Monday Night Football game with the win less Miami Dolphins playing the defensively challenged New York Jets. But the good part when you put two crappy teams together you usually end up with a watchable game on television. Brandon Marshal has made the game a little more exciting and more of a reason to watch. He tweeted earlier this week that he would stop the Jets in the first half and then get in a fight with a Jet’s player and get ejected in the second half. Of cours he was kidding…we think but the tweet got him in hot water with the Team and NFL PA.

The Jets have kept quiet this week, just like they have all year. The Jets have failed to display much of an offence and their pass protection is sometimes non existent. With that said they have a 2-3 record and are more than a touchdown favourites against the Dolphins.  The Jets running game has also stumbled to the start of this season, they average 76 yards on the ground per game. One of the worst running teams in the League. With LT having some injury problems it will be up to Shonn Greene to move the chains.

Tonight game will be a grinder, I expect to see a low scoring game with a lot of action from the kickers.

I am putting my money on the visiting Miami Dolphins. Coming off a bye last week has given the Dolphins time to rest their injured players and prepare for this game. On Sunday we saw 3 of the 5 teams that had byes in the previous week cover the spread, the losers being the Rams and Redskins.  I think Miami will get pressure to New York’s QB and swallow up any run attempts but the JETS. I also like the under in this game. Both teams have had problems scoring and the Jets have a very good passing defence.
