Tonight the Jacksonville Jaguars will travel to play the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome. This is an important game for the Falcons who are looking to take over the division lead from the Saints.

In their last outing the Jaguars were a 41-14 over the Buccaneers. This was a somewhat surprising game, the Jags only averaged 14 points per game, before last week. Maurice Jones-Drew had a solid day rushing for 85 yards on the ground, but the big performance of the day came from QB, Blaine Gabbert. This was the 22 year olds best game of the season although it was not perfect, he threw for 295 yards completing 19 of 35 passes. It will be interesting to see how the Jags will play tonight on the road.

Atlanta got a much needed win over the Panthers, 31-23 ,they covered the 3–point spread as favorites, while the total combined score sent bettors of the over to the cashier booth. I think it is a guarantee that the Falcons win tonight’s game but will they cover the game by 12 points? The Jags have a top ten defense allowing less than 20 points per game. But don’t take this number for what it is, the Jags have one of the best passing defenses, but that is mostly due to because they have the least amount of pass attempts against them. Teams are usually quickly up by a touchdown or two and then go to the run game to kill the clock. Although Blaine Gabbert played well last week he has not proven himself on the road this year and I think he will have trouble in the very loud Georgia Dome.

Bottom Line: I am going to take a small leap and go with the falcons to cover the 12 point spread.
