Lions Cowboys Betting Pick
3-0 baby! Restore the roar! I wonder how many Lions fans are like super pumped about the team and how many more are just cautiously optimistic because they know Stafford’s shoulder could fall apart any second now. Tony Romo played pretty good for an overhyped injury last week on Monday night and Jaws gave him a verbal blowjob that a phone sex operator couldn’t have topped. It reminded me to always go to the gym to watch on Monday nights.
I remember seeing a quote from Jim Schwartz saying something to the effect of: he doesn’t watch porn, he watches Jahvid Best highlights on youtube. That is incredibly creepy first off, and secondly Best better pick up his paltry 2.9 ypc average and start doing something or else his coach will never be able to get a boner again. Or something like that. And yes I know Best catches the ball a lot too, but what kind of weirdo coach is gonna jack off to halfback catches, gross. However unlikely it is for Calvin Johnson to continue raping defenses on his touchdown spree I expect to see it continue in this game with him facing some short ass Cowboys corners, most likely Terrance Newman for most of the game.
The Lions defense is powerful and brutal. Ndamukong Suh might actually end up tearing a quarterbacks head off one of these days. One of these days Nick Fairley is going to get healthy and come back to team with Suh as the best defensive tackle duos in the league for the next 10 years.
The Cowboys have looked alright so far this season. Look at who they’ve played though, the Jets are good but not great, the 9ers are pretty terrible, and the Skins are improved, but still have a choice of Rex Grossman or John Beck for QB (3rd choice suicide). The Cowboys defense will be pretty good with Rob Ryan taking over. Demarcus Ware is an absolute beast, but he disappears sometimes. I think the Cowboys are a total pretender team.
Bottom line: The Lions defense has been pretty stingy (read: top 5) against the pass this year. The Cowboys can’t run the ball effectively. Jahvid Best should have a big day as the Cowboys how been bad covering running backs in the passing game. Detroit wins.
